Notifications
Falah Max uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send important notifications to users. These include:
- Eid confirmation announcements
- Ramadhan commencement notifications
- Important Islamic news and updates
- App update announcements
Important Privacy Note
We do not collect individual FCM tokens from users. Notifications are sent as broadcast messages to all users simultaneously. We cannot and do not track which specific users receive or interact with notifications.
Location Data
Falah Max requests location access for specific, limited purposes only:

Location Privacy Assurance
We do not collect, store, or transmit your precise location data. Location processing happens locally on your device. The app only uses your location to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction in real-time. Once the calculation is complete, the location data is discarded.
Prayer time calculations are based on data from ACJU (All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama), ensuring accuracy for Sri Lankan Muslims while also supporting international calculation methods.
App Permissions & Features
Audio Playback
The app streams Quran recitations from online sources. We do not control or have access to your listening history through these services.
Home Screen Widget
The widget displays prayer times without opening the app. An alarm service auto-refreshes widget data to ensure accurate timing.
Theme Detection
The app detects your system theme (light/dark mode) to match your device's appearance. This is a local detection only - no theme preference data is collected.
Vibration
Vibration is used for tactile feedback in the Thasbeeh counter and for notifications. Vibration patterns are controlled locally on your device.
